A control device for the defrosting means of a refrigerator comprises a time switch and a pressure sensitive device, such as a bellows, adapted to operate the time switch contacts, the pressure sensitive device having means for connecting its interior directly to the fluid system of the refrigerator evaporator so as to be directly responsive to changes of pressure in said system.
