A frame 10 for mounting a vehicle and for carrying the king post-supporting bracket 22 of a shovel-excavator assembly comprises a pair of spaced apart uprights 11 secured to the ends of four parallel angle members 12-15 that define upper and lower channels 16, 17 along which the bracket can slide when bolts extending through the guideways to clamp the bracket thereto are-released.
