A tray having a perforated bottom 1, Fig. 1, and rear wall 2 is adapted to pivot about an axis 4 in a drying kiln and rest a seal 6 on one side on a shoulder 7 of the kiln wall, the gap between the kiln wall and tray being bridged by brushes fixed at the edges of the bottom and rear wall of the tray. The brushes may be adjustably mounted, and the brush 10, Fig. 3, fixed at the edge of the tray bottom is reinforced by an adjustably mounted perforated plate 9 on the tray bottom.
