Abstract
953,727. Communication systems. TRG Inc. April 1, 1960 [April 6,1959], No.18836/63. Divided out of 953, 721. Heading G1A. [Also in Division H3] Lasers (see Division H3) are used in a system for transmitting messages by a beam of light. At the transmitter 201 a laser 203 produces a beam which is modulated by a Kerr cell 205 under the control of a multiplexer 206 receiving signals from a number of channels. At the receiver 202, another laser 209 amplifies the signals before they are demodulated by a photosensitive device 212. The electric signals are directed to their appropriate channels by a demultiplexer 213. Specifications 953,722, 953,723, 953,724, 953,725 and 953,726 also are referred to.
