Abstract
Polyureas and polysemicarbazides of the formula: R111-9NHCONRR1) #c is 2 or more; R is H, -(CnH2nO)mH, -NH2, -NH Alkyl, -NH-(CnH2nO)mH or -N([CnH2nO]mH)2; R1 is H, alkyl or -(CnH2nO)mH; R111 is an organic radical; n is an integer of from 1 to 4 and m is an integer of from 1 to 20, are prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate of the formula: R111(NCO)#c in an alcoholic solution and at a temperature of from -20 DEG C. to +30 DEG C. with 1 mol. per NCO group of a compound of the formula: R-NH-R1.R111(NCO)#c may represent tetramethylene, hexamethylene, cyclohexylene, phenylene, toluylene or diphenylmethane diisocyanate, tris-(para-isocyanatophenyl)-thiophosphate or a polyisocyanate obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate with a polyether, polythioether, polyacetal, polyester or polyhydroxy compound having a molecular weight of up to 3,000.ALSO:Polyureas and polysemicarbazides are prepared by reacting a polyisocyanate in an alcoholic solution and at a temperature of from -20 DEG C. to +30 DEG C. with 1 mol. per NCO group of a compound of the general formula: R-NH-R1, wherein R is H, -(CnH2nO)mH, -NH2, -NH Alkyl,-NH-(CnH2nO)mH or -N([CnH2nO]mH)2; R1 is H, alkyl or -(CnH2nO)mH; n is an integer of from 1 to 4 and m is an integer of from 1 to 20. The polyisocyanate starting material may be tetramethylene, hexamethylene, cyclohexylene, phenylene, toluylene or diphenylmethane diisocyanate; tris-(para-isocyanatophenyl)-thiophosphate or a polyisocyanate obtained by reacting a polyisocyanate with a polyether, polythioether, polyacetal, polyester or polyhydroxy compound having a molecular weight of up to 3,000.
