Abstract

949,921. Wrapping-machines. FORGROVE MACHINERY CO. Ltd. Nov. 30, 1962 [Nov. 19, 1962], No. 2098/62. Heading B8C. An article 10 to be wrapped is raised on an elevator 11 with retractable blades 12 through a horizontally supported wrapper 13 which then falls into an inverted U-shape. Underfolders 16A, 16B fold the depending tails 13A, 13B against blades 12 which protect the article during this operation, and are then withdrawn. The elevator is then lowered to leave the article supported by the underfolders, one of which advances to complete the folding of the tail 13A. A pusher 17 is then applied to complete the folding of the other tail.
