Abstract

The hardening and drying of moulded cementbased parts is brought about in a two-stage process in which saturated steam at a pressure of, say, 300 grams per sq. cm, is used to hydrate the cement, and superheated steam at a pressure of above, say, 1 kg. per sq. cm. is used to dry the parts. A boiler (see Division F4) is specially adapted to produce consecutively and as required the saturated and superheated steam for this process.
