The invention of the parent Specification is modified in that one of the dies, e.g. the top die 27 is provided with a peripheral ring 34 which meets and abuts the periphery of the other die to prevent any dust from being blown out from between the dies before they are in pressing engagement. The ring is loaded by a coil spring 31 so as to yield under pressure. The ring may be made of a resilient or flexible material. The invention is described as applied to a rotary table machine having a loading station below a hopper containing the clay dust.
