Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of general formula: <FORM:0948540/C2/1> in which R is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, methyl, methoxy, or trifluoromethyl, and Z is amino, monomethylamino, dimethylamino, carbobenzoxyamino, carbethoxyamino, formylamino, or b -hydroxyethylamino; and their nontoxic pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts: and the process as described in the examples, wherein is illustrated the reaction scheme and intermediates as follows: <FORM:0948540/C2/2> <FORM:0948540/C2/3> <FORM:0948540/C2/4> <FORM:0948540/C2/5> and also the formation of monomethylamino compounds by reduction of the isocyanate (N-methylation with methyl iodide of a benzylamine derivative or of a sodio formylamino derivative followed by refluxing in ethanol and acid hydrolysis respectively is also mentioned); dimethylation with formaldehyde/formic acid; reaction on the amine of benzyl and ethyl chloroformate to form the carbobenzoxyamino and carbethoxyamino compounds, of ethyl formate to form the formylamino compound, and of ethylene oxide (ethylene halohydrins also mentioned) to form the b -hydroxyethylamino compound.
