Abstract
946,103. Switching systems. FRANKLIN INSTITUTE OF STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA. April 12, 1960 [April 14, 1959], No. 12967/60. Drawings to Specification. Heading H2H. The invention relates to the application of known variable work-space ratio switching techniques to vary the effective value of an electrical parameter such as an impedance in an electrical simulation model type of analogue computor used for example to study heat transfer in nuclear reactor systems. The switching pulse repetition times must be small in comparison with the response time of the computor so that an averaging effect takes place. The switching may be performed by any known method e.g. by electron tubes or diode bridge. Canadian Specification 626,606 is referred to.
