944,825. Jacquard mechanisms. DEVOGE & CO. Ltd. July 17, 1962 [July 20, 1961], No. 26246/61. Heading D1E. The griffes of a Jacquard mechanism are operated by a lever a which is connected via rods b<1>, b<2> to one end c of a connecting rod C, the other end c<1> of which is eccentrically pivoted to a planet gear D which revolves round a sun gear E. Due to the eccentric mounting of the connecting rod C its end c<1> describes an ellipse and hence between positions 2 and 3 and also between positions 5 and 6 the lever a remains substantially stationary and a dwell is imparted to the griffes. The end c<1> is mounted in a diametral groove on the gear D so that the eccentricity and hence also the length of dwell may be adjusted.
