Abstract
943,493. Work holders. PECHINEY COMPAGNIE DE PRODUITS CHIMIQUES ET ELECTROMETALLURGIQUES. June 23, 1960 [June 24, 1959], No. 22096/60. Heading B3B. A workholder particularly for clamping an electric current input bar 2 to a bus-bar 1, comprises a base 3 secured to the bus-bar, a rotatable shaft 7 having a cam 6 secured thereto, and a toothed segment 17, and a second shaft 10 having a toothed segment 13, a roller 5, and a clamp 4 secured thereto. In operation the shaft 7 is rotated clockwise and the segments are engaged thus moving the clamp 4 to the position of Fig. 3. As the segments become disengaged the cam 6 engages the roller 5, and further rotation of shaft 7 will produce the required clamping force to clamp together the work 41,2. A spur 23 on the clamp 4 locates the bar 2 laterally.
