940,302. Cleaning floors; brushes. H. A. COLBEAR. Jan. 15, 1962 [Jan. 16, 1961], No. 1782/61. Headings A4F and A4K. In an appliance for cleaning the floors of cowsheds, garages &c. a conduit has mounted at one end a water spraying head, and a transverse member with clamping means for the reception of a broom head the conduit serving as a handle through which water is fed to be delivered from the spraying head in advance of the broom head. In the embodiment shown a perforated spraying tube 11 has two sets of holes 13, 14 for directing jets forwardly and downwardly, and is attached by a curved pipe 9 to a tubular stall hande 1. The latter has a cross-bar 4 provided with clips 6, 7 receiving a broom head 15. A hose may be attached to the upper end of the handle at 3 for supplying water to the spray head 11. Alternatively the curved pipe 9 and spray head 11 are replaced by a nozzle mounted directly on the handle and giving a fan shaped spray.
