Abstract

937,601. Crutch tips. A. A. SMITH. July 6, 1962, No. 26016/62. Class 134. A crutch tip moulded in rubber or other resilient material has a base 11 and neck 12 with a passage to receive the crutch shaft 17, the part between base 11 and neck 12 having an annular groove 13 to define a horizontal axis of bending movement and vertical longitudinal ribs 20 are provided to slow or snub the bending movement. A metal disc 22 reduces wear of the crutch shaft on the passage and concentric circular grooves 21 improve the grip of the tip on the ground. Specification 874,724 is referred to.
