Abstract
935,883. Deep well pumps. KOBE Inc. Dec. 4, 1961, No. 43239/61. Class 102(1). A fluid actuated well pump has an engine valve unit which is installable and removable from the well independently of the pump unit. The valve unit 32 seats on the pump unit at 34 and is installed by being forced down the valve tubing 22 and may be blown up the tube by applying pressure via the tube 20 and the discharge passage 66. The pump unit 38 is secured to the valve tubing 22 and supported on the surface 26 of a housing 24 formed on pump tubing 20. The pump and motor pistons 40, 42 are actuated in one direction by pressure fluid from the tubing 22 passing through passage 68 to the underside of piston 40 and in the other by the same pressure fluid supplied under control of the valve member 74 via passage 70 to the slightly larger upper area of the piston 42. The valve member 74 is controlled by pressure supplied via passage 88 either from the passage 80 leading to the pump tubing or from the lower side to the piston 40, through passages 86, 90 in the piston rod 48.
