935,581. Continuous dough mixers. E. T. OAKES CORPORATION. May 23, 1962, No. 19876/62. Class 86. A continuous dough mixer comprises in combination proportional feed as 10, 11, 17 discharging via an endless belt 15 to a screw conveyer 19 which supplies a mixer 23 having rotating radial blades 26. The mixer 23 discharges through an orifice plate 28 into a mixing trough 32 having at least one rotatable shaft with paddles; as shown, there are two counter-rotating shafts 33, 34 with paddles 38, 39, the inclination of which is adjustable. The feeders 10, 11 are continuous weighing machines and 17 is a hopper type scale feeder. Liquid ingredients are metered by the pump 20 to the hopper 18 of the screw conveyer 19. The mixer 23 may have a temperature-control jacket. The various devices may be driven by variable-speed drives. The orifices 27 are preferably between # and 1¢ inch in diameter.
