Abstract

934,834. Copying. J. L. JEANNERET. March 21, 1961, No. 10266/61. Class 83 (3). An indexible template-holder comprises a shaft, a pair of support pieces longitudinally adjustable along the shaft, a plurality of template supports mounted at equally spaced angular intervals on each support piece to which the templates are detachably secured, and means to index the shaft in correspondence with the angular spacing of the templates. The indexible template holder is supported between centres 5, 7, Fig. 1, and driven by a carrier plate 13 to rotate step-by-step in accordance with the machine cycle. The holder comprises a shaft 3 having a keyway 23 along which support pieces or collars 19 are slidable and secured thereto by set screws 25. Dovetail slots 27 are provided on the inside faces of the collars arranged radially and at equi-angular intervals. Template-supports 28 are slidable radially in the collars and may be clamped by wedge pieces 37, Fig. 2. The ends of the template supports may be slotted to receive flat templates such as g<SP>3</SP> or may have adjustable centres 31a, 31b to support models such as g<SP>6</SP>.
