[Also in Group XXX] A locking device for relatively movable parts comprises a threaded pillar 1 carrying an internally threaded non-rotatable sleeve 2, a motor 4 for rotating the pillar, and rams 13 and 14 for moving the pillar and sleeve sideways in bearing blocks 9 and 10. The sleeve 2 includes teeth 19 for engagement with a relatively movable second part, a pin or wedge keeping the sleeve 2 in position on the pillar. Specification 884,255 is referred to.
