Abstract
933,880. Plunger and die mechanisms. MARDON, SON & HALL Ltd. Dec. 18, 1961 [Nov. 30, 1960], No. 41143/60. Class 18. A manually operable plunger and die mechanism for folding box blanks comprises a plunger 22 which descends into a die 26 on rotation by a handle 6. A train of gears mounted on a shaft 5, which also mounts the handle 6, and on a countershaft 10 rotates a rack pinion 9 which engages a rack 23 on the plunger 22. A spring 16 secured to the countershaft 10 causes the parts to return to their original positions on release of the handle 6.
