933,806. Gill drawing frames. W. MENZINGER, and J. BALSACH. Nov. 24, 1961 [Jan. 4, 1961], No. 42084/61. Class 120 (1). A gill box with comb bars on an endless chain and two chains of rods-one for holding fibres in the pins of the comb bars and the other for ensuring removal of the fibres from the pins-is further provided with means for removing the combs from the last-mentioned rods by vertical movement of the combs. The upper chain 14 carrying rods 15 is guided during its working run by a guide 16. Instead of rods the chain 14 may be equipped with rectangular cross-section bars, shorter faces of which press on the fibres. The lower chain 10 of the rods runs along guides 12 and the combs are supported during their operative run by a runway 23 and further guided by a runway 22. In order that upper chain 14 and lower chain 10 may operate close together their links may have flat faces where they oppose each other, or the links may be caused to lie in different vertical planes.
