Abstract
The invention comprises sorbitol hexanicotinate and the preparation thereof by reacting sorbitol with nicotinyl chloride hydrochloride in the presence of a strong base or by reacting sorbitol with sulphuric acid or with chlorosulphonic acid and reacting the sulphate so obtained with calcium nicotinate.
