Abstract

931,827. Hot-water bottles. CANNON RUBBER MANUFACTURERS Ltd. Jan. 6, 1961 [Jan. 25, 1960], No. 2675/60. Class 64 (2). A hot-water bottle 12 has a textile jacket secured to it by first applying a strip of vulcanizable material 15 to its seam 14, secondly overlapping the bottle and strip on both sides with a sheet of textile material 16, and thirdly applying heat and pressure to the seam so that the material 16 adheres to the periphery of the bottle. The surplus material is then trimmed off and a hole in the top 18 is formed firstly by depressing each side of the tap with axiallyaligned dies and secondly removing the resulting membrane.
