929,358. Testing lamps. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. Dec. 28, 1961 [April 14, 1961; Nov. 8 1961], Nos. 13614/61 and 40070/61. Class 37. [Also in Group XVII] In a machine for placing a lamp bulb in a carton similar to that described in Specification 696,597 the lamp L is placed in the machine first and electrical contacts 40, 41 pass a current through it to test it. The carton C is then passed over the bulb and this depresses operation rods 8a to start the machine (see Group XVII) which pushes in portions of the carton to engage the lamp and retain it in place.
