Abstract

Animal food products, particularly reward tit-bits for dogs, are heated pieces of leavened flour dough containing 15-25 parts of sucrose to 100 of flour and a minute amount, e.g. one part in 2000 of the dough, of an imitation meat, fish or cheese flavouring. Vitamins, minerals or other supplementary nutrients may be incorporated in the dough. Pieces of the dough are deep fried in vegetable oil at 375 DEG F. for 1-1 1/4 min.
