Abstract
926,996. Lids for cooking vessels. MURRELL Ltd., and R. MORLEY. Feb. 15, 1961 [March 1, 1960], No. 7277/60. Class 66. A lid for cooking vessels of different sizes has a series of concentric annular walls 5a, 6a adjacent its periphery whereby when the lid is placed on the vessel, one of these walls will be adjacent the wall of the vessel to limit lateral movement of the lid and a radial slot to fit round the handle of the vessel. The dish-shaped portion 2 is surrounded by a raised portion 4, having a series of equally spaced holes 8 around its highest part, and curving down to concentric annular stepped portions 5 and 6, each with its depending wall 5a and 6a. A handle 3 is secured to the centre of the portion 2. An alternative form of lid has a series of annular grooves instead of the above walls.
