Abstract
Cut-off portions of tubers, particularly potatoes, having a live bud or eye are dried at a temperature at which the germination power is not adversely affected, e.g. are dried in air at 35 DEG C., to preserve them for seed. The dried portions may be coated with a mould growth inhibitor.
