[Also in Group XXX] A conveyer belt has longitudinal wires 4 as sole reinforcement preferably embedded in a layer 3 of rubber having good adhesive properties, the wires with or without the layer 3 being enclosed in a core 2 of rubber or synthetic material having a high resistance to tearing, and the core being enclosed by a cover 1 which has a lower resistance to tearing but higher resistance to abrasion than the core.
