In a reactor for the production of radioactive isotopes, of the sort described in Specification 904,608, the carrier in which the specimens to be irradiated are supported is rotated continuously. In this way each specimen is carried round the core of the reactor and the radiation received from reactor is more evenly distributed among the different specimens.
