Abstract

Cellular polyurethanes are obtained by reacting a polyether having terminal hydroxyl and a mean molecular weight of at least 500 with an organic compound containing at least two isocyanate radicles, and with water, and thickening the mixture with at least one film forming polymer. The ethers and isocyanates may be replaced by their sulphur analogues. Examples of suitable materials are given together with stabilizers and catalysts fillers, e.g. silica, carbon black, calcium sulphoselenide and bentonite may be included.ALSO:Cellular polyurethanes are obtained by reacting a polyether having terminal hydroxyl and a mean M. weight of at least 500 with an organic compound containing at least two isocyanate radicals, and with water, and thickening the mixture with at least one film forming polymer. The ethers and isocyanates may be replaced by their sulphur analogues. Examples of suitable materials are given together with stabilizers and catalysts or fillers e.g. silica, carbon black, calcium sulpho-selenide and bentonite may be included.
