924,721. Periscopes. ROLLS-ROYCE Ltd. Aug. 22, 1961 [Aug. 29, 1960], No. 29778/60. Class 97 (1). [Also in Group XXXII] A rear viewing device for a car, aircraft or boat is formed by three mirrors 13, 20 and 17 shown as mounted in the roof 11 of a car. Viewing mirror 13 and intermediate mirror 20 may be pivoted to roof struts, the roof itself having a transparent port 15 above which is the rear viewing mirror 17 shaded by a cowl 16. Mirror 17 may be plane or convex while mirror 13 may be plane or concave. The mirror axes may be in a simple vertical plane or staggered.
