Abstract

A screen consisting of synthetic filaments of, e.g., polyamides, polyurethanes, polyvinyl-chloride or polyvinylacetate, particularly intended for dewatering fibrous pulps, is characterised in that the rim zones are reinforced by treating them with an adherent composition consisting of a 50% to 70% solution of unstretched polyamide in formic acid (of at least 85% concentration) and subsequently removing the solvent.
