Abstract

In a modification of the apparatus described in the parent Specification, the need for lubrication of the sliding seal mechanism between pallets and windbox is eliminated by making one of the members from a temperature-resistant synthetic plastic material, such as a polymerisation product of highly or fully fluorinated hydrocarbons. If bushes of similar material are fitted between the pressure rollers and their axles, lubrication of these points is also rendered unnecessary.
