922,139. Electric batteries. MALLORY BATTERIES Ltd. (P. R. Mallory & Co. Inc.). Jan. 2, 1961, No. 29/61. Class 53. A primary cell has a tubular anode 14 of magnesium with slots 16 or similar apertures to allow gases to vent through the centre and to pass out of the cell at 18. The anode may be a helix formed from strip with a helical space between turns. The cell may incorporate a cell system using a sulphamate electrolyte as for example that disclosed in Specification 838,589.
