Abstract

915,057. Sea walls. CARTWRIGHT, S. H. July 29, 1960 [May 11, 1959], No. 16039/59. Class 68 (2). A sea wall has its lower part formed of front and rear sections 2, 3 with a flume 4 between them, passages 7 extending through the front section for the admission of water to the flume, and drains 8 for the return, underneath the foreshore 6, of water in the flume to the sea. Recesses 10, 11 are provided in the front section above the flume and in the rear section respectively. The entrances to the passages are made with lips 12. Building units as described in Specification 905,399 may be employed, and the passages 7 have corrugations 13 (Fig. 3).
