Abstract

The invention comprises 7-chloro-2-chloromethyl - 6 - sulphamoyl - 1,2,3,4 - tetrahydro-4-quinazolinone, and its preparation by reacting 4 - chloro - 5 - sulphamoyl-anthranilamide with chloroacetaldehyde or an acetal thereof, preferably in a solvent and in the presence of an acid as a catalyst.
