[Also in Group XXVIII] A petrol pump delivery nozzle has a mixing chamber into which can be delivered a metered quantity of oil through a detachable coupling incorporating a valve; the oil is washed out of the mixing chamber by, and mixed with, the petrol on operation of the petrol delivery trigger valve. The nozzle also has a closing valve. Oil is supplied to a transparent plastic mixing chamber 71 from an oil metering pump through a delivery pipe having a valved coupling (see Group XXVIII). The coupling has a sleeve which embraces the annulus 6 and is retained by steel balls 5, and a cylindrical extension 90, see Fig. 3 of the Complete Specification (not shown) which depresses the cylindrical inlet valve 34 admitting oil by holes 81. The pin 36 on valve 34 depresses in turn flange 85 opening air release valve 37. When the required amount of oil has been metered into chamber 71 the coupling is detached. Operation of the trigger 54 then opens the valve 47 admitting petrol through conduits 75, 80. Fluid pressure opens the anti-drip valve 61 and petrol passes into the tube 77 having holes 30 which ensure thorough penetration of the oil by petrol. The mixture is then delivered through the nozzle 70 which has a valve 68 operated manually but opened by the pressura of the discharging fluid. In an alternative arrangement, see Fig. 1 of the Provisional Specification (not shown) the anti-drip valve 61 discharges towards the blades of a turbine stirrer which replaces the tube 77.
