Abstract

A disinfectant liquid, suitable for use in a chemical closet contains water, formaldehyde preferably in the proportion of 10 to 20% by weight per 100 c.c. of liquid, dichlor-metaxylenol preferably in an amount of not less than 2 grams and not more than 6 grams per 100 c.c. of liquid and methylene blue preferably in an amount of 0.25 to 1.0 grams per 100 c.c. of liquid, the dichlor-meta-xylenol and the methyllene blue exercising a synergetic effect upon the formaldehyde and each other.
