In an assembly of an instrument or other article and a sleeve or case 10 therefor, the instrument or other article is provided with one or more screws 14 mounted in a screw-threaded hole or holes formed in the periphery of the instrument or other article, and a like number of apertures 11 are formed in the wall of the sleeve or case, the arrangement being such that the or each screw can be screwed inwardly to disengage its outer end from the corresponding aperture when it is desired to remove the sleeve or case from the instrument or other article. As shown, the sleeve and article are provided with a co-operating pin-and-slot locating means 17, 18.
