[Also in Group XXIII] The tip of a gramophone stylus is shaped to a sharp point or any of the forms shown in Figs. 2, 3 and 4 by rotating the stylus while causing a stream of abrasive particles to impinge on the tip (see Group XXIII). The stylus may be made from diamond, sapphire or other material.
