Abstract

Crystalline griseofulvin is produced by admixing a solution of griseofulvin in a griseofulvin solvent such as acetone, methanol, ethanol, dimethyl formamide or dimethyl acetamide with a griseofulvin non-solvent which is at least partially miscible with the griseofulvin solvent such as water, by pouring one liquid into the other which is being vigourously and non-vertically stirred. Specification 899,668 is referred to.ALSO:Crystalline griseofulvin is produced by admixing a solution of griseofulvin in a griseofulvin solvent such as acetone, methanol, ethanol, dimethyl formamide or dimethyl acetamide with a griseofulvin non-solvent which is at least partially miscible with the griseofulvin solvent, such as water, under such conditions as to effect rapidly substantially complete intermixing of the liquids on and after contact. Specification 899,668 is referred to.
