Class 100(2) A method of providing one or more decorative panels on a coffin consists in affixing a sheet of veneer 2 to the exterior surface of one or both sides or the ends or the lid of the coffin and machine pressing an embossed pattern 3 on the sheet of veneer, the embossing penetrating through the sheet of veneer to the wood of the coffin. The veneer 2 is of a superior wood to that of the coffin.
