Abstract

898,214. Photographic exposure meters. PAILLARD, S.A. March 29, 1961 [March 29, 1960], No. 11490/61. Class 98(1). [Also in Groups XXXVI and XL(b)] An adjustable clamping device responsive to the position of a galvanometer needle 2, comprises a bearing member 3, over which the needle moves, and upon which a feeler wheel 6 rolls until it clamps the needle against the bearing surface. The wheel and bearing surface may be smooth or, as shown, toothed. As described, the wheel is carried on an arm 5 driven through a pinion 4 by a rack 7 which controls the aperture of a camera diaphragm 8. The galvanometer is in such a case photo-electrically operated, to form a semi-automatic exposure setting device.
