Abstract

894,269. Magnetic record apparatus. K.G.M. ELECTRONICS Ltd., and ROE, D. O. June 30, 1961 [April 29, 1960], No. 15172/60. Class 40 (2). In a tape recorder means are provided to separate the pinch-wheel from the capstan and at the same time trap the tape against the pinchwheel. Such means may comprise a manually or electrically-operated lever 8, Fig. 1, pivoted about a point 9 and serving to move the pinchwheel 5 away from the capstan 3 to a stationary member 15 having a pointed set-screw which acts as a marker when synchronizing sound recordings with lengths of film passing through a cinÚ camera. A second embodiment is described in which a lever 18, Fig. 4, has a member 21 at its end which lifts the tape and pinch-roller 5 from the capstan 3 and is provided with a marker 24, Fig. 6a, which may be rotated to an inoperative position.
