Abstract

892,319. Air humidifying apparatus. HUNT, J. B. April 21, 1960 [Jan. 23, 1959], No. 2497/59. Class 55 (2). Air - humidifying apparatus comprises a trough 7 (Fig. 2) containing water, a porous slab 11 dipping into the water in the trough and held in an upright position by lugs 8 on the base of the trough and projections 9 extending inwardly from the upper edge of the trough. The slab 11 may have a lattice-like structure and be made of brick or bath stone. In a modification, Fig. 5, the trough 13 is of annular shape and the porous member 18 cylindrical. Covers 12 or 19 of e.g. expanded metal may surround the porous members 11 and 18 as shown.
