A roll film camera has film delivery signalling means comprising a shaft rotatable during film feed, a signal device on the camera and means on, and rotated with, the shaft for intermittently engaging and actuating said signal device. In the embodiments, the film roll is mounted on a shaft and the film is led between two rollers to the camera press board by the manual rotation of one of the rollers. As the shaft rotates, a serrated disc mounted thereon intermittently engages one end of a blade spring, mounted at the other end on a thin metal film roll casing, thereby causing the spring to vibrate and make an audible noise. The spring is rotatably mounted on the casing so that it can be moved out of the path of the disc during reloading of the camera. Alternatively, the spring may be attached to a pendulum carrying a liquid level switch of a signal circuit the switch being closed every time engagement of the spring and disc causes the pendulum to rotate. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3 rotation of the shaft 16 causes a square cam 50, connected to it by a pin 52 and recess 54, to rotate intermittently. As cam 50 rotates each corner in turn pushes downwards a spring blade 56, pivoted at 60 to the casing '10, which then springs back when the corner has passed so that a pin 62 at the free end thereof moves a pin 66 on a spring 64 upwards and closes a switch of a signal circuit 70 which produces a flash of light. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 6 a disc 105 rotatably mounted on the shaft 16 has hammers 110 attached to it by springs 106. If the shaft is rotated in a predetermined direction a pin 104 on it is engaged by a blade spring on the disc and the disc is made to rotate. During this rotation the hammers are intermittently moved against their springs by inclined flanges 118 on the casing 10 and then released so that they hit casing 10 and produce an audible sound.
