Abstract

889,361. Lamp-holders. THORPE Ltd., F. W., and THORPE, F. W. Oct. 24, 1958 [July 25, 1957], No. 23545/57. Class 38 (1). In a lamp-holder comprising a hollow cylindrical porcelain body 5 containing screw - threaded socket 6 and central spring- loaded contact 12, the latter is secured to terminal 16 by braided flexible copper tape 17 so that movement of the contact remains unhampered by stiffness of the supply cable. Socket 6 is connected by screw 7 to terminal 8 which receives supply cable 10 in socket 9. Terminal 16 carries baffle plate 22 to prevent damage to conductor 17 on the movement of contact 12.
