Abstract

888,610. Radiators for heating buildings. FRACCHIA, E. Aug. 1, 1958 [Aug. 1, 1957], No. 24901/58. Class 64(2) A central-heating radiator comprises a single hollow element 1 having undulations on at least one of its wide faces, there being gills 4, 5 projecting from both the troughs and the crests of the undulations. The gills 4 which project from the crests extend up to the top of the header 8 but the gills 5 in the troughs terminate only halfway up the header. As shown in Fig. 3 both wide surfaces of the radiator have gills but there may be a cover 9 over the front. In Fig. 4, only the front surface is gilled and undulated; in another construction (Fig. 6, not shown) the rear is undulated but not gilled.
