Abstract
S - Carbethoxymethyl - 1 - phenyl - 3 - (1, 2, 4 - triazol-3-yl)-isothiourea is prepared by heating 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole with phenyl isothiocyanate in dry dioxane to give 1-phenyl-3-(3-triazolyl) thiourea, which is then refluxed with ethyl chloroacetate.
