Abstract

882,653. Pull-wire systems for mines. DAVIS & SON (DERBY) Ltd., JOHN, and DAVIS, W. B. July 23, 1959 [April 29, 1958], No. 13492/58. Class 78 (5). A pulley block (Fig. 1) intended for carrying the pull-wire of the signalling system of Specification 781,881, has an insulating pulley 21A carried by a clip 15, 16. The clip is pivotally carried at 13 by plate 10 adapted at 11 to be carried by a support, and is separated from the pulley by an insulating bracket 17, 18. The bracket is made in two identical inter-dowelled parts 17 and 18 so that one plastic mould will suffice. In this way the pull-wire is surrounded by insulating material. Similarly, the pull-wire may be carried by a clip 15, 16 (Fig. 4) which is pivoted at 13, is secured at 28 and is separated from the pullwire by insulator 25 made in two identical interengaging parts.
