878,936. Centre-boards. READY METAL CO. Ltd. April 27, 1960 [Sept. 1, 1959], No. 29837/59. Class 114. A centre-board 1 is housed in a casing 5 which is closed at its top 6 except for a small opening fitted with a rubber washer 9 through which slides the arcuate arm 4 of the centre-board to import thereto an arcuate movement about the pivot bolt 2 for displacing it downwardly into the water and returning it to its retracted position. The pivot 2 has rubber washers to provide a friction device to secure the centre-board in positions between its raised and fully lowered positions.
